A Few of Our Favorite Things to Do in Colorado Springs
- Visit Pikes Peak – You can drive to the top or during the busy seasons you can get shuttled to the top to save your brakes and enjoy the views. Also, you can take the Cog Railway which is an experience in itself.
- Visit Cave of the Winds – The main tour is great but they also have a more advanced tour which is worth checking out.
- Check out the Broadmoor Hotel – the only 5-Star hotel around. Stop by Julie’s Cafe for a coffee, chocolates, or delicious ice cream.
- Seven Bridges Trail – A great hike that is dog friendly. Parking can be an issue if you go in the middle of the afternoon sometimes.
- Paint Mines Interpretive Park – Great for kids and it is an easy walk! Beautiful rocks and formations!
- Fountain Creek Regional Park – Great for walking and enjoying nature.
- Garden of the Gods – Tons to do from hiking, climbing, tours, and more.
- so many choices!
There are too many hikes to list and it depends on which side of town you are on to see some of them without having to drive too far. The Air Force Academy also has hikes.
Things to Do in Colorado Springs – Hiking Recommendation:
A great hike to look for in Colorado Springs is “Section 16” and it’s best done with a few friends. We recommend parking a car at the Manitou Cantina and then driving south to the start of the hike. This way you can do a great hike and finish with lunch and drinks with friends! Win-win!
